Our CSR team in collaboration with Coalition for Road Safety (CRY) and relevant local authorities launched Road Safety Education Project in Kampot’s Banteay Meas district to raise community’s awareness of road safety, one of the pressing issues in Cambodia. The event took place on 12 October 2018 with some 500 participants including students, teachers, villagers and local authorities. Helmets and traffic cones were distributed to some students, teachers and police.
With support from CMIC in collaboration with Coalition for Road Safety (CRY), about 1000 students from 4 schools in Touk Meas and Tani in Kampot province and several villagers from communities in Touk Meas received training on traffic and road safety. Some of the students riding bike to school were presented with cyclist helmets
