To mark one year since its inauguration, CMIC held a press conference on 26th February 2019 at its Touk Meas Cement Plant to recognise a successful first year of sustainable operations. Approximately 100 national and international guests, relevant ministries and NGOs were invited, along with members of the media.
At the event, the CEO of CMIC, Mr. Aidan Lynam, said, “As a deeply responsible heavy industrial company, CMIC is committed to efficiently and properly managing the utilisation of Cambodia’s natural resources and deploying its extensive and talented human capital to realize this goal. We are committed to making a difference for the customers we serve, without sacrificing the interests of future generations. We do this by adopting an active policy of environmental stewardship that is an integral part of our sustainable development orientation. This we do in close collaboration with all our stakeholders.”
Mr. Aidan added that the company’s ongoing focus is to balance the interdependent economic, social and environmental dimensions of sustainable development, while remaining fully committed to its top priority of safety through visible and responsible leadership.
